A journey we take
together
Kachina Canine is a sacred space for an animal guardian who is curious to deeply explore thier soul work & connection with their animal friend on a sacred soul level.
If you’re drawn to exploring beyond the thinking mind, physical, trusting in divine timing, and embracing the wisdom your animal friend has to share, we may be the right fit.
My approach isn’t for everyone, but is for those who are ready to step into a deeper knowing with their animal friend, themselves, and all that is eteranlly sacred and connects us all.
I am Dr Isla Fishburn – intuitive medicine teacher of sacred transition and grief, grief tender, shamanic practitioner, ceremonial space holder and channeller of animal and nature consciousness. I welcome you.
I welcome
I welcome
Those who can trust the divine timing of circumstances, synchronicities and happenings and the nature and ways in which they unfold beyond our knowing, rather than wanting quick, immediate answers, results or solutions that are not for the highest and best outcomes for our soul connections.
I welcome
Those who can allow anything to be revealed, shared and brought forward, notice their charges and wish to explore transition and grief in a deeper way.
I welcome
Those who are able to recognise or discuss when discomfort, projections or triggers are noticed and how this is information for their soul consciousness.
I welcome
Those who, on some level, accept there is a great mystery, a creator and divine source that we are a part of and are connected to through infinite consciousness of all things.
I welcome
Those who consider their animal friend as a sacred soul and higher being, rather than just a physical being, that has wisdom to share as a source of consciousness.
I welcome
Those who are ready to strip back from illusion, look within and explore the medicine their animal friend offers.
I welcome
Those who wish to co-exist with their animal friend from sovereignty and equality, at the highest level of soul consciousness, and be the highest and best versions of themselves so they can embody in to knowing the infinite, unlimited divine soul/creator that we all are and that we also see our animal friend as.
Live from unlimited consciousness with your animal friend.
Live a life unlimited with your animal friend.
I’m here as a medicine teacher to remind you of the sacred you and your animal friend are & how to enter sacred work with their transition & your grief.
I’m here to show you how to live from soul consciousness, ceremony and soul work with your animal friend, connect with their consciousness and the unseen.
For as long as I can remember, I have always considered how everything is alive and conneted to spirit, as consciousness. This was helped by me always having and being able to see two spirit animals walk beside me – a wolf and bear. My love for nature consciosuness was the resaon why I studied Zoology and a Masters and PhD in Conservation Biology, where I could explore this connection of spiritual ecology and sacred ecology.
I have always had a sense of everything being alive and having its own wisdom, its own intelligence, or, their own spirit consciousness. From the stars, the wind, the waters, the stones, the plants, the trees, the fugi, the animals, the earth, the universe…everything…everything is consciousness. This includes you and your animal friend.
But, back then, little did I realise how transition and grief are also alive and have consciousness. I had not considered the aliveness and wisdom of these allies, these old, old friends and the medicine they offer us. Back then, I was scared of transition and terrified of grief. Back then, I didn’t realise what I do now – that transition and grief have always asked me to honour it, speak of it, work with it and teach what transition and grief really are. We do not need to fear either, but welcome both as the sacred medicine that is a poweful aid in guiding us back to our soul consciousness, through the help of our animal friends.
Let me share how I got to know, meet and welcome transition and grief as alive and as sacred medicine that has led me to teach this to you…
of DR ISLA FISHBURN
From a young age, I felt a deep connection to the unseen.
When I was eight years old my best friend, a New Zealand white rabbit called Snowie, transitioned in my arms after letting out a huge scream that sounded like a human. He was just a year old.
In that moment I lost my best friend and I was both traumatised and carried disenfranchised grief. I carried this for most of my life, fearing death and fearing that any animal I brought in to my life, loved and cared for would die in the same traumatic ways and at such an early age.
The fear of this kept me from living with another animal for many years, until I got my wolf dog, Tunkasila. When she was a year old I was terrified she would die and that I would have to go through it all again. That day came…and went. She lived until she was just shy of 14 years old!
Not long after Snowie’s transition, I witnessed a young boy get knocked down by a bus and die in front of me. I went in to shock.
Then, years later I witnessed my grandfather’s death. But, there was something different about this. The night he died, I knew he was going to do so and I wanted to stay up with him to witness him and be there for him when he transitioned. A few hours before he did, he shot up out of his bed from being in a semi conscious state and told me, “that’s it – there is not long to go now as I have seen my grandma and granddad and they are waiting for me.” It was a few hours later that he died and I wanted to know so much more! I now work with my grandfather (and Tunkasila) in some of the transition work that I offer.
My death journey continued through a near death experience in my late 20s, as well as contemplation of suicide when being in an abusive marriage. My own wolf dog, Tunkasila, and a tree that spoke to me and said “you are enough” made it so that I was to stay on this earth for longer so that I can offer what I am here to offer you and your animal friend now.
It was during this time that I began to channel from nature consciousness as well as the consciousness of Tunkasila and the wisdom she had to share for us, including wisodm about transition and grief.
As I journeyed more in to what death and grief are and offer us, I learned more about them being sacred medicine and what they offer us as medicine for our healing, the sorrows we carry in our heart and body and what they are leading us back to. Our animal friends are great teachers about this for us.
I began to learn about the sacred teachings of grief and transition, how we used to be with grief and how we used to honour transitions in a sacred way and how to work in a shamanic and medicine way with transition and grief – I began to hear the consciousnesss of grief and death.
At the same time, my channelling skills and shamanic work were developing and deepening and I was beginning to do more work with animals at the soul level, or level of their consciousness, and channel with them, where they were sharing so much about what they want us to know about their transition, how to honour it and how their transition is a sacred path to our soul work.
This is a life long and lives long journey – consciousness is infinite.
Tunkasila taught me so much about the sacred path and medicine that their transition is, how we can and they ask for us to honour it and what they offer us as medicine when their transition comes – a path to our consciousness and soul work.
Through her own transition, Tunkasila shared with me the consciousness of death and how our animal friends view it, welcome it and feel about it; the importance of ceremony in their transition and our grief; how to honour them and their transition as sacred; how they are still alive when out of body; how to maintain this connection with them when they have transitioned; and the sacred work we are to do with them once they have transitioned, becoming an ancestor and spirit guide for us within our family of spirit helpers, teachers and allies.
From all of this and through connecting with your animal friend, I am here to offer, support and help you create a beautiful, unique and special transition for your animal friend, maintain your connection with your animal friend when they have transitioned and tend to your grief in a shamanic, sacred and ceremonial way so that you can meet and understand it in a way that is medcine for you where it can become softer, comforting and more peaceful.
I now also work with and channel The Canine People, The Aquarians, The Grandmothers, animal consciousness and nature consciousness as helpers and allies that come to offer support as you tend to your grief.
I am deeply blessed and honoured to walk this path with you and your animal friend.
With love, light, and blessings.
